Quark is a fresh cheese that is best described as a cross between yoghurt and fromage frais and can be used as a substitute for either as well as for sour cream. Made traditionally in the German method, using only cultures to acidify and curdle the milk, our freshly made quark is thick and velvety smooth. Quark is a great source of protein, calcium and both vitamins A and B.
As with all our cheeses, handmade with aroha and care, on the day of milking, from certified organic cow's milk.

Serving inspiration: Use it to make traditional German baked cheesecakes, or whip in some eggs and a little sugar and bake in pastry pockets with apricots as a shared plate, use as a dip base or simply serve with your favourite fruit.
